Bishop Kizungu Katarama Sylvain is CEC Bishop of the Diocese of Bukavu in east DR Congo.

As of last December Bishop Sylvain had:
5 parishes led by priests
312 missions led by evangelists and catechists
Over 300 evangelists and 40 catechists
A medical school
2 Bible schools
4 orphanages
Some of his biggest needs are:
An end to the warfare in his area.
Purchase parish buildings - even his cathedral is in a rented facility.
Vehicle - his diocese spans several thousand square miles.
Medical clinics.
He has plans for clinics, school and a university and is praying for missionaries who can come train his people.
