Pray for Ebola Outbreak in Uganda
As you may have heard on the news, the deadly Ebola virus has killed over 20 people in western Uganda. This outbreak centers in Bundibugyo where our Bishop Hannington Buhemuka and his family live.
Reports of the virus are appearing in other locations and the nations surrounding Uganda are on alert. Thankfully there is help from government and international agencies now, but the epidemic is still not contained and is taxing medical personnel.
Please pray for some missionary doctors who have hosted our teams in Bundibugyo, Drs Scott and Jennifer Myhre and their family. They are working very hard these days and need the Lord's strength and protection. The Myhres weblog gives an intimate account of the outbreak and may help you pray for this region.
Perhaps the most tragic loss to this virus is Dr. Jonah Kule, the Medical Superintendent of Kikyo Health Centre in Bundibugyo, and a dear friend to the Myhres. I include his photo below. He was a very godly man and an excellent doctor. Please pray for his family. The Myhre's missions covering, World Harvest, has set up a Response Fund to help Dr Jonah's family and others in this crisis.

Please pray for an end to this epidemic, for protection of those working in the affected areas and for healing for those who have contracted the disease.
